Questions & Answers

Good to know

Straight answers before you schedule, measure, or make a material decision.

What makes Stillpoint's construction different?

We focus on the details that remain visible and the connections that do not: carefully selected materials, properly secured joints, clean lines, sound structure, and a finish that is meant to perform for years.

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Durham and serve the Research Triangle. Share your project location and we will confirm whether it fits our current service area and schedule.

How does a project work, start to finish?

We begin with project discovery, confirm scope and site conditions, develop a Gold Standard design and written proposal, then schedule construction. Throughout the build we communicate progress, protect the site, complete a final walkthrough, and remain available after handoff.

How do you handle schedules?

We do not promise a start date until we can support it. You receive a realistic start window and updates as it approaches, followed by clear communication throughout construction.

Will the price change after work begins?

Our proposals are designed to account for the agreed scope. If concealed site conditions require a change, or you request additional work, we explain the impact and obtain approval before proceeding.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. When a project requires permits or inspections, Stillpoint manages the applicable local process and builds to current code. Permit requirements are confirmed for the actual site and scope; no-permit eligibility is never assumed from an online estimate alone.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Stillpoint Builders LLC is a licensed North Carolina General Contractor (License #109043), is insured to meet state requirements, and can provide documentation.

What happens if there is a problem after completion?

We back our work with a two-year workmanship warranty and remain available for questions or concerns. Warranty coverage applies to Stillpoint's workmanship; the written project agreement explains any product-specific coverage.

Can you repair or match existing work?

Often, yes. We assess the existing structure, materials, and finish before recommending repair, partial replacement, or a full rebuild. Some conditions can only be confirmed after on-site inspection.
